Overview

We are seeking an experienced Conveyor Maintenance Technician to join our night shift production team in Lawrence, KS. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing automated conveyor and sortation systems, as well as performing general facilities maintenance and repair work. Two (2) years of hands-on experience in a similar environment is preferred, with specific experience working with Intelligrated, Hytrol, Dematic, Rapistan, or similar systems. 

 

Our facility has a modern, clean, climate controlled-warehouse with a newly installed state-of-the-art conveyor and sortation system (2022). 

 

Salary: $26-34/hr

Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 5:00 p.m.–3:30 a.m. 

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems, spirals, motors, belts, chains, rollers, brakes, photo eyes, PLCs, and other material handling equipment
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns to keep operations running smoothly
  • Document repairs and keep accurate parts inventory
  • Assist in root-cause analysis and recommend long-term fixes for recurring issues
  • Work independently while contributing to a strong safety culture
  • Assist in keeping the facility clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • General facilities maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in conveyor, mechanical, or material handling systems and facility maintenance (preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of automated conveyor systems and control systems such as PLCs and EZLogic
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Power zero-pression accumulation system
    • Sliding shoe combiner and high-speed sorters (e.g. Intellisort)
    •  Ambaflex spiral conveyors
    • Inteligrated Zone Flex controllers
    • Cognex or Datalogic camera scanners
  • Successful completion of OEM training for Hytrol, Rapistan, Dematic, or Intelligrated systems (preferred)
  • Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
