Overview

We are seeking a sharp, dynamic Senior Accountant who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Manage company fixed assets including associated projects, payments, accurate entry into FAS for additions and retirements and monthly depreciation.
  • Manage fleet-related compliance and licensing, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.
  • Handles vendor setup by completing detailed checklists, contacting vendors to verify information, and maintaining the system address book and required documentation for accurate setup and updates.
  • Verify and coordinate proper recording of intercompany charges with related companies including monthly intercompany account reconciliation.
  • Review and resolve pricing and quantity issues with various departments within organization.
  • Co-administer the company credit card program, ensuring thorough receipt review, audit compliance and policy adherence.
  • Review and acting backup for company compliance and tax report filings including payments due weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Backup for company Supplier and Customer Accounts Receivables. Strong desire to understand root cause when reviewing discrepancies.
  • Assist in timely, monthly closing. Complete assigned tasks by due date, checking for accuracy.
  • Complete assigned weekly balance sheet reconciliations and assist in preparation of monthly or quarterly review, including but not limited to Cash, Inventory and Receivables.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and propose practical solutions; maintain accurate and up-to-date written procedures.
  • Perform other duties and assume responsibilities as assigned including day to day transactional processing, month end activities, annual audit requests and coverage for other accounting tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 7+ years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including strong spreadsheet design and data analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail. Desire to buy in on processes and manage to company policy.
  • Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset, sound judgment and the ability to think critically while navigating complex challenges and driving continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with coworkers and outside parties.
